AKs - Did the Maniac turn me into one?
 

After midnight 30/60 at the Bellagio. Pretty decent game with only 1 other player that I have respect for.

My 1st opponent in this hand is a young semi-LAG that had a lot of respect for his own play. The other is a full blown maniac whose favorite 2 words are "three bet". On a couple of occasions I have seem him bluff or semi-bluff checkraise.

YSLAG open raises from MP. I think that he would raise here with any pair, suited A, or AT or better. Maniac right behind him says his favorite 2 words, this means that he has 2 cards, I look down and see AK [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and make it 4 bets on the button. YSLAG calls, maniac now says his new two favorite words "5 bets". We both call.

Flop is 742 w/ 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Both check to me, I bet, YSLAG calls, maniac checkraises, I make it 3 bets, YSLAG sighs, gives up and folds.

Turn is the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Maniac agains checks, I bet, he checkraises me again. I'm not laying down this hand and call.

River is a small non- [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Maniac checks again, I think of betting just so he could bluff checkraise me again, and I would be the 1st person ever to have won a hand after being checkraised 3 times. But I wimp out and check.

Maniac says K high and shows K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and MHIG
