It's the right call, Bart and Shirley, if he makes the +EV decision.

That is VERY objective in a heads-up NL situation like that.

Wow, My respect for JRB has gone up infinite times. What a great play by him.

It doesn't matter that PL called him on his semi-bluff, JRB isn't behind that far against 99-QQ

Board: Kh 7h 3s
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 43.9899 % 43.99% 00.00% { Ah8h }
Hand 2: 56.0101 % 56.01% 00.00% { QQ-99 }

Even if PL NEVER folds, JRB still made the correct play due to the 3K already in the pot, so basically he's putting in 8k to win 11k (roughly, 1.375 to 1 odds) on a 1.27 to 1 dog.

So great play by JRB.

The interesting question is this:

If Phil pushes on the flop -- does he get called?

I think so. I think Jean Robert will be thinking, "Damn, all in? Well, I got the nut flush draw plus an ace. My ace might not be good but it might be good. But I got the nut flush draw. And this pot is pretty big. I want to look good and bust Phil with this hand, esp on Live at the Bike. I will have a monster stack if I win and if I lose these players will know not to push me around. Wow. Yeah I call this [censored]!"

Is it incorrect to make a call if you are up big for the night when not technically getting pot odds? I can't imagine it is correct. (this is not in reference to Bellande's call but just a general question)

This is with PL having TP/Set/AA

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 40.1321 % 40.13% 00.00% { Ah8h }
Hand 2: 59.8679 % 59.87% 00.00% { 99+, AKs, AKo }

So, yeah... only play there is, is all-in.

Bellande moves all-in. Not called.

Yes. If he knows how to do the math, JRB would beat him in the pot. Just read my posts.
