Button just sat down at the table so I have no reads on him. SB is loose an passive 40/7/0.63.

Was just calling down here the right play? I kinda felt like I was behind to an ace with a better kicker after getting 3 bet preflop and then raised on the flop, but I wasn't sure enough to fold.

I usually fold preflop, but this seems like a great spot for a check/call, check/call, bet line, no? Or is the flop bet to get SB out?

he 3bet you preflop, i think this calls for no donk bet on the flop. i check/raise and call down if 3bet, or c/c, c/c, bet.

3 betting the flop might be ok, but you are hoping for quite a lot to happen on the T and R to give you some help if you are behind. Only A's your a head of are A2, A3, A4 and one of those goes out the window on the Turn. For these reasons, I don't mind calling down here -- minimizing your loses if you are behind.

They must have forgotten about the SB being in the pot. Betting into the raiser is better here, because he will raise with quite a few worse hands and put pressure on the SB to fold.
