I think if you really want to call down, maybe you should 3 bet the flop for a free card. This will save you half a bet, and you can win more when you hit your T. If he caps the flop and leads the turn then it is overwhelmingly likely he has you beat.

If he does have these hands and you simply call his flop raise and turn bet will he fire again on the river?

Yes, especially since poster capped pre-flop. So his opponent has to put him on either a big ace or a big pair.

shorthanded high limits. the cap can be read as all sorts of hands, and oftentimes not the very best ones because trapping heads up with something like AA or KK might be better, you can wait until the turn or river and make a little more. i watched some short 100-200 on pokerstars last week (yes i have no life) and saw a lot of 3 bets but a total of zero caps preflop including with monster starters.
