no after BB has capped pre-flop, we are check/folding the flop. I think bet/folding is throwing away money, because we are nearly certain to get raised.

You said button backs down when you come back at him, but now an unknown is 3-betting. The purpose of raising was to get rid of BB, but apparently he has a better hand. I can see the logic of betting into this flop, but I don't think a typical unknown is folding TT-KK.
