finally played a hand well?

i had QTo in the cutoff and openraised in a good 20-40 live game. the button who had so far proven herself to be a passive typical mediocre self taught cold called with a sort of confidence in her step, the blinds called too.

the flop was Q92. checked to me and i bet, she raised with what i read as genuine vigor, folded to me and i called.

the turn is a 5 and i check-fold.

You forgot to mention that I was sweating you and almost swallowed my own tongue. That is vital information. Although I was suprised you made this fold, I think it was correct.

I just am so used to you bet/3 betting the flop vs. 2 loose passives, betting the turn and checking the river on a 2,4,7,T,Q board and then saying "anyone have a pair" before mucking. Those are good times.

I don't understand why you posted this hand Mike. Looks to me like you made a read based fold in a smallish pot heads up.

Good job?

Well damn, if it was genuine vigor, on top of calling with a confidence in her step, you should have just folded to the raise. I love your descriptions mike.

Shucks, I was hoping this would be your Queen-high-diamond-flush-on-the-river-with-flopped-second-pair-(9)-that-makes-the-third-nut-flush-on-the-river hand.

You should have seen him fold KK on a Q high flop.

Re: finally played a hand well?

you mean when i raised utg with QTo? i forgot what happened. i know i never had a pair, i had a gutshot, but the cold calling moron on the button with AK gave an inexplicable free card on the turn. what was the board Kd9h8d, 9d, xd right? yeah that hand was fun.
