That's not even the best Tool album, brah.

Lateralus is better, "The Patient" is my favorite song ever i think.

The lyrics on Aenima are sweet though. "Hooker With a Penis" is so pissed off, it rules.

Edit: I don't know what I'd consider the best album ever right now, but I do know that Dark Tranquillity - "Character" was the best album released this year, and it's not even close.

The correct answer is "Money Jungle" with Duke Ellington, Charlie Mingus and Max Roach. With this album you have the greatest bassist, greatest drummer and the greatest performer/composer of the 20th century. While listening to this album you will often forget that it is just a trio performing. The popular music of today can't be mentioned in the same breath.

"Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis is pretty incredible as well featuring Cannonball Adderly and John Coltrane on saxophone, Bill Evans on piano on all songs except "Freddie Freeloader". Wynton Kelly played piano on that one. Paul Chambers on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums round out an exceptional combo.

I could really accept any Tool album as the right answer. Im of the firm belief that you could grab a random album out of a stack of all their albums, put it in your player, hit a random song, and you wouldbe guaranteed to have a kick ass song playing.
