When a big card hits the turn after you CR the flop heads up vs a pfr
Assume villain is aggressive and capable of raising any turn card with Ace high or a draw as well as with his pair or better hands and that he will almost always go to the showdown with Ace high in this situation.
PREFLOP: Villain open-raises in the CO, Hero calls in the BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. FLOP: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero raises, Villain calls. TURN: ? What is your standard line if the turn card is a A? K? Q? J? T? Thanks, Cartman |

I'm check/calling an A and donking the river, I'm bet/calling the rest.
I'm seeing a showdown this hand. |

Is he not only calling when he has you beat (except for a few lower pp's) while he may fire again when he doesn't? I'm unsure in these situations myself and suspect I sometimes play them too aggressively. |

Checkcall turn and river if A hits, if he is aggressive he will often steal.
The rest I bet and call down if raised as long as I think he will also play like this without hitting. |

Checkcall turn and river if A hits... The rest I bet and call down if raised... [/ QUOTE ] |
Re: When a big card hits the turn after you CR the flop heads up vs a
there really isn't a point. Check/calling turn A is good, but don't donk river.

So you guys are betting and calling down when a K hits the turn?
Thanks, Cartman |
Re: When a big card hits the turn after you CR the flop heads up vs a
Yeah but if I bet, get raised with a K or A on the turn and the other one falls on the river I then check/fold.

i think that is a good point the combination of the two ace on turn and king on river or vice versa is enough to make the river a check fold situation.
