Fold JJ?

Naturally, I am here to second-guess myself.

Alas, I didn't capture the hand, so the bets are guesses. The table was playing T$10-T$20 at the time, and we all had about T$1500 or so.

This was early in the tournament, so I had effectively no data on the other players. I was dealt JJ on the button. CO-2 raised $200, CO re-raised $600, I call. CO-2 raises all-in. CO folds.

I called and faced AA. Needless to say, my hand did not improve.

It seems to me like it was just about as likely I might have faced TT or AKs, dontcha think?

The coda to the story is that I played 2 sng tournaments this morning. One of them I made a huge error that bounced me out (to make it worse, I made it against a trash-talker who then proceeded to rub it in. His handle was "Phill Hell Jr", believe it or not), but then I went and played at a NL side game and took down a monster bigger than the first place in the tourney would have been, so I can't complain too much.

edit: added bets

Raised and reraised, time to lay that JJ down.

Wow. That's hard to swallow. But, of course, look at what wound up happening.

yeah, fold that with quickness. it's a fold even if they're making normal bets, but when one guy raises 10 bb's and the next guy puts 40% of his stack in, it's time to muck. i'd play QQ though.
