chess analysis

is there any software, or website i can input previously played games for analysis?

i have Chessmaster 10 for PC but either you can't do it, or I can't figure out how.

thanks

I'd assume Chessmaster 10 would have that capability but I don't have it to test that theory. Fritz is standard I believe.

what do you mean by analysis?

Re: chess analysis

well i guess it would be hard for any computer software to analyze one's game. there isn't really a correct decision in chess.

i guess what i wanted to do was put the game i just played in the software, and have the software say "wow, you're really good" but i guess that doesn't exist.

anyways, i just got Fritz, we'll see what that can do

There is nothing that can compare to Fritz that's commercially available.

Enjoy your purchase.

Of course there's a correct decision many times. Analyzing your games with a strong engine is basically about finding tactical business that you missed. It's not going to tell you about positional weaknesses in your game; it'll be up to you to figure that out by looking at how you get beat, and why your opponent was able to do that.

Chessbase light provides an older version of fritz that you can use to analyze your games.

You can pick up a full version of Fritz 8 for $56 from www.chessbase.com

This is absolutely incorrect. But Fritz will help you with what you are trying to do. Enjoy, its a great program.
