My thoughts...

First hand, no reads at all.

Free flop and a good one, I bet out because I'm usually way ahead here, the intial raise is not scary, as an overpair would raise here very often, so I 3 bet and the cap begins to worry me, as my 3 bet screams "I'm in the BB and could have anything and am betting out of position with a pair on the board"

so at this point I'm putting the flop aggressor on A5 (possibly K5).

Thus the rest of the hand plays out as is... what about the river call? I don't see a fold with the pot this large... what about a raise to drive out the other guy? or is calling just right? Hand struck me as interesting, but I'm tired.

When your boy gives up and checks that river I'm checkraising.

Put more bets in on the turn. Hands like AT [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] are going to go crazy on the flop as they figure to have 15 outs. You are also getting an overlay from a 3rd player who could be drawing totally dead (if he has 43s he is dead to an ace and his flush draw will oftentimes be dominated), so you don't need to be correct 50% of the time to check/raise the turn. You also picked up a straight draw so that also helps your cause if he does has A5 or something (equity goes from 13% to 22% HU). If he comes to life on the turn, you can re-evaluate. There just aren't many 5x hands that are limped 1st in. Unless he has 22, you have to think your good on this board. Get those bets in there.

Bet the turn.

You guys are good. I did everything possible to "hide" the results of the hand.

The flop raiser folded and Mr. Caller called and showed 33, so I win.

Felt like I could have gotten more bets into the pot and the general consensus was "bet/raise more"

Grunch

I don't understand why we aren't raising on the turn and river. I think it is much more likely that we are up against a high pair, or someone on the flush draw.

I don't think worrying about another trip 5's is worth it
