Man Checky...Girl Checky...Man Bet...

Owing to the deluge of dealer/tipping threads that more
often than not show how retarded people are, I said, Hey,
I'll start a thread about our FAVORITE dealers...

The subject line is one at the top of my list at FW: A cute
little asian lady who has her own unique way of declaring
the table actions - "Man Checky!"

Go nuts...feel free to include notable regulars/brush/floor tales.

I can't remember his name, John maybe?, but there's an older man who deals at the mirage who knows words in several different languages. He always calls me mademoiselle (I probably misspelled that) and is just in general a nice, friendly guy. I always like being at his table.

Played out at soboba this past weekend. Theres a dealer there, think the name is will or willy, bald guy with a mustash. Was am absolute joy to be at the table. He knew the game, kept action going, and was always saying thank you when someone toked, something very few do unless its a pretty big tip. He also introduced himself to all the players that came in and kept conversation going. He was more excited to try and deal the jackpot than the players were.

I've played a total of 2 hours at the Mirage in my lifetime and I can say that this guy was my favourite dealer. He was constantly cracking out the corny jokes, also.

I like the guy at Foxwoods who always says "Strong Bet!"

I used to play in this cardroom where the dealer was this huge guy named Ray(about 6'10"). He would always bust on the players, but my favorite of his lines, which I still use:

(Regarding a winning hand, especially a suckout)"Well, it was a good hand...you looked good playing it, too." Bust this one out next time you're a third party(uninvolved) in a major suckout...

Last time in a BM had a dealer that was great. His best line was "Only 7 to the turn"

The game was a little loose.

Another great FW dealer (John I think?):

His favorite lines are: "Unbelievable!" usually when noting
heavy action, like 100 times an orbit, and "How do you like me now?"
when not completing obvious draws on the turn and river deal.

You may run into "Sok" as well...he said he was from Vietnam and
someone joked and asked him if he spoke French. He quickly replied
"Oui!" We said "Bonjour" and cracked up everytime he dealt.

I miss the 'Woods...it's been too long

My favorite dealer is, and probably always will be, Bubbles from the Excalibur. I always had a great time when he was dealing. He kept the game moving and was really pleasant to have in the box. He could talk Motown music and Cleveland Browns with me and never miss a beat with the cards. The game was always [/i]smooth[/i] when Bubbles was dealing. Bubbles was one of the main reasons I played so much low limit poker at the Excalibur. Unfortunately, a stroke took him out of the game earlier this year and I miss him sorely.

I guess that's not really a story but I saw a couple of other "favorite dealer" posts so I went with it.

Edit: Well, this might qualify as falling under the orignal poster's premise: Bubbles has probably dealt a zillion hands to me since I started playing at the Excalibur and never - not once - have I ever seen him make a snide comment or a sarcastic facial expression or anything along those lines when getting stiffed or mistreated. A total class act in the time I've known him.
