When using DVI cables, can you adjust the brigtness on your 2001FP..?

When using DVI cables, can you adjust the brigtness on your 2001FP on the monitor's menu?? I know I can adjust the brightness under display properties. I am wondering if moving the brightness on the monitor's menu has an effect. I have the ablity to adjust the brightness from 0-100% from the 2001FP menu, but nothing changes. Whereas the monitor doesn't allow me the oppurtunity to adjust the contrast using DVI (thats fine). Thanks for your help.

It does change, but barely. Try turning it all the way down to see.
