Anyone play the Chumash in CA?

I know it is a long shot, but has anyone played at the Chumash Casino. It will be my first trip to a B&M, and I wanted to hear some experiences.
Thanks,
Mike

I've played there. There was just a thread on Chumash. It got one reply. Mine. What do you want to know? They don't spread high stakes. There aren't any terrible dealers. They don't allow it. Clientele tends to be higher class than Los Angeles.

Thanks for the reply. I am new to 2+2, and I searched for the chumash, but came up with nothing. I was mostly wondering if they had a decent room, with some good low limit games. And they always have these $30 tournaments, have you ever played one?

Thanks again!

I don't know much about the tournaments but I have been there many times as I live about half an hour away. They actually just re built the entire casino less then a year ago as they expanded into a casino/resort type thing. So both the poker room and the rest of the property are nice and new.

I've been to the Chumash many times. They spread 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, and 6/12 and low stakes NL. The 6/12 usually has great chips, but it plays somewhat slow since $1 chips are mostly in plays besides a few $5 chips. The tournaments are all crap shoots, but the limit tournament with the final table being NL is a great structure (on Thursdays I believe). Very friendly room with good dealers for the most part. Beautiful room, very spacious, no smoking, and a handful of widescreen televisions. I recommend going. Make the trip to L.A. if you want to play for the money. Without any medium or large stakes games, this room offers an environment for the casual player. I highl recommend going. It's where I learned to play the game pretty well.

I heard the gambling addict on the show Intervention plays there. However, I doubt he had any good experiences to share.

It's a good room for small stakes. 14 tables, good dealers, auto-shufflers, and nice decor.

Thanks

Played last night, and had a great night. I was averaging 8BB/hr. at the $2-4 table. It was a nice place with good people and they made me feel really welcome. I appreciate all your advice!

Re: Thanks

You won't average $32 bucks an hour in the long run, but you can make walking around money. Don't try to make a living here. Good to hear. Hope to play together some time.
