using taping software to create a live stream
Taping poker sessions with tools like Camtasia or CamStudio seems to get more and more common and I think this is very useful.
Now, is there a way to use this software to send a live stream via AIM or whatever to another user? I'm thinking of the situation where you have a coach, who observes your game while you play online. Typing your holdings somehow distracts from your main tasks. Using a live stream of a defined area could solve this problem. Anyone knows if this is possible? |

NetMeeting or most conferencing software will allow you to share windows or your whole desktop. You can decide whether or not the remote viewer can send keyboard strokes/mouse clicks.

I couldn't find an option to share windows in Netmeeting, but finally was able to setup something.
I use Camtasia to produce a live stream of a predefined area and get it transfered with Netmeeting. Looks like this: http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/3...hunter24ed.jpg |

You could use RealVNC to share your whole desktop. You can set it so that clients are not allowed to send keyboard or mouse events.
