Do I fire the second barrel in this situation? And in general - when do you guys fire that second barrel?

When I have a strong read that I am confident with.

Why bet the turn, only hands that call your flop bet which you are ahead of are straight and flush draws. I think you'll see a slowplayed Jack more often than your straight and flush draws. Also I bump this up to 4 or 5 pre-flop, I think that makes your post-flop decisions much easier.

do you typically raise mid pp's in MP? or do you mean to re-raise his min-raise?

Re: fire second barrel?

This is not a time to fire a second barrel.

One time I sometimes do that is if I bet the flop on a bluff and there are some draws out there and the board pairs on the turn. Then I might bet 2/3 pot or so because many players dont like (which is a good thing for them of course) to continue draw to a straight or a flush when the board is paired.
