Borgata info requested....

Specifically, what are the good restaurants/non-poker attractions and activites?

I'll be taking my younger brother and sister there on thursday 12/22 and have heard there's a great sandwich shop nearby but can't remember the name....maybe lunch there and dinner somehwere else?

thanks!

the sandwich shop is called "White House", it's on the corner of Arctic and Mississippi.

the Ripley's Museum is a good non-gambling spot in AC. also tons of tax-free outlet shopping on Michigan Avenue. for people with an ironic sense of humor, the cheesy shops on the boardwalk and degenerate people watching can often be an activity in itself.

Stox,

Great place to eat in AC is Corky's barbecue at the Trop. Get a rack of dry rub ribs and ask them to give you the wet sauce on the side. I'm from Memphis, and this is the best barbecue I've had in the North, its better than any NYC barbecue place.

The food there is superb. The steak restaurant is amazing and the buffet is also quite tasty. There are also some other good asian/italian places. Also the gym/spa are great.

If it's the same Corky's chain I'm familiar with, they're actually out of somewhere in TN. I've eaten at their Brentwood (Nashville), TN and Huntsville, AL locations, and I recall noting a few years ago that they had one in Tunica as well as other Memphis-area locations.

Glad to hear they're in AC; if I can't have Dreamland or the Rendezvous, they're a good third choice.

Stox,

White House subs is indeed terrific. Go at a non-peak time unless you want to wait in line. In the casino itself, the noodle place is quite good and I'm fond of breakfast at Metropolitan.

There is also an outdoor outlet mall near White House if your siblings are into that.

Whitehouse is a couple of blocks behind Trump plaza. Easy walk from Trump Plaza, Caesars and Ballys (Need a car from the Borgata though).
Corkys is very good, so is Adam Good Crab Shop at the trop if you like not too pricey seafood.
The boardwalk has arcades open year round for under 21-s. All hotels have pools (Borgatas is very nice, and has whirlpools too), some also have small arcades.... Not the Borgata though.

also tons of tax-free outlet shopping on Michigan Avenue.

The only reason it may be tax-free is that all clothing in NJ is tax-free. There are good deals in those stores though.
