Fantasy basketball -- Duncan == Billups?

So there was just a trade in my fantasy league, Tim Duncan for Chauncey Billups. I complained but the commissioner said it was relatively fair because Chauncey is having a monster year. So I squinted really hard and I guess I could see it. When did Chauncey become the fantasy equivalent of TD?

It's a standard Yahoo league. 9 categories, you play an opponent each week and "win" or "lose" each one. So I had more Rebounds than my opponent, that's a win, I had less assists, that's a loss, etc, categories are Pts, Reb, Ast, 3PM, FG%, FT%, Blk, Stl, TO.

Luckily the league is not for money. I'm just confused about the whole thing, so I submit this question to the collective wisdom: If this were your league, would you veto this trade?

It depends if I thought the two were colluding. If the guy giving away Duncan is just an idiot, I usually let it go and try trading him Raef Lafrentz for Kobe.

This question cannot be answered so easily. We need more info about what each of them needs help in category wise.

It's fair enough that it probably shouldn't get vetoed. It's also way too early in the season for a team to be down and out, so it's less likely there is collusion going on here.

Try to grab Marbury on the cheap from Team A, and see if you can pry Dwight Howard away from him.

Team B's team is sick. He now has Wade, Duncan, and Iverson (3 bonafide first rounders) to go along with bMill, moPete (who is having a relatively monster season), RJ's FG%, and Melo.

How many teams in this league?

Billups is having a significantly better year than Duncan under those scoring categories. According to basketballmonster.com, Billups is the 10th best player in your league, Duncan the 18th best. The gap between them is somewhat significant. The guy who traded Billups got taken.

Thanks for the input. It's a 10-team league. About 6 or 7 owners know what they're doing. The league isn't for money, meaning there are a couple of owners who shouldn't be playing, so naivete and collusion are equal worries. But there is pride involved, if I don't win this league I will have to hear about it at work for the next 12 months. I still think my roster can win it, I have:

B. Davis
Richardson
R. Davis
L. James
Bosh
Odom
Dalembert
Hill
G. Wallace
Maggette
Ku. Thomas
Ford

Thanks for the input, and thanks for the link. Between their career histories, Detroit's hot streak, and the fact that I think it's a lot easier to find a point guard than a power forward/center, I think Duncan is still the better player in my league. But I guess I can see the argument so I overreacted.

How many centers in the league? If its one, then the deal is fine. If it's two, the scarcity of centers plays a larger role.

Just one. I recanted my complaint but reminded them that their school's basketball team is going to lose to my alma mata on January 2nd.
