this makes no sense at all - why would you give me the phone number to the trump taj casino when i wanted information about a poker tournament being held there?

actually...i wasn't looking for a schedule. i was looking for subjective information like if anybody has played in any of these satellites and had any opinions on general quality of play, table feel, etc. try not leaping to conclusions and looking like pompous, sarcastic asses.

This sounds kind of bitter. If you wanted to know these things, why didn't you ask in the first place? For what it's worth, I read your OP to be asking a very general question and thought that providing the phone number was a good idea.

The only pompous ass here is you.

i believe you are right. My OP should have been more specific as to the info I wanted, and maybe I did come off bitter earlier. However, I am continually annoyed with the immature patronizing that so often litters these forums. People are far too eager to jump down somebody's throat over a perceived assinine or inane post. I believe that replies such as these above and those that have been far worse on this forum, are in reality just poorly pondered easy responses. Instead of a response that requires some analytical thought, somebody takes an easy way out.

OP,

I appologize. Next time you ask a rather straightforward question, instead of providing a straightforward answer, I will be more analytical and try read your mind to find out the question you meant to ask. Then I will put lots of careful thought and consideriation into thinking of a creative way to tell you to go fvck yourself.

Regards,
Tony

sorry to see that you are having a hard time getting some information, Zeus. Since becoming a full-time player online and too lazy to just goto the taj and find out for myself, I called Taj. I got the front desk of the pokerroom and they said they are NOT running satellites, which I find very hard to believe. They said they have 50+15 sit and go's, which is almost like a satellite to the tournament, but you get cash instead. No way am I playing a s&g, winner takes all format w/ a 30% rake.

I guess it's time for me to dress warmly in this brutal cold weather, drive down there and find out for myself. I will be going there tomorrow (Friday) late afternoon and I will try to let you know as soon as I find out for myself. Expect a reply late Saturday or Sunday, depending on how long I play. I will be the kid downing 30-50 Redbulls, and considering it's a Weekend, I will be looking like a WPT kid...hat and sunglasses and all.
