$5.50 Preflop Raise 44 MP?

quick question about preflop play. 5$ tourney about 15 hands in first level around equal stacks everyone folds to hero in MP holding pp's 22,33,44. raise or call?

my normal play is just to call...anyone do anything different or maybe any other circumstances that might merit a different play?

call for set value. it won't hit a lot, but when it does, chances are you will get paid off very well -- especially at lower buyin SnGs.

occassionally, i can see raising if folded to hero on the button, although if you're still in the first or second level, no need to go crazy. but then again, i'm a real tightie early on.

Agreed. Standard I think.

I MIGHT raise, but ONLY if my intention is to take it down PF and show the table my 22 in an 'image building' attempt.... but at the lower buy-ins its not worth it.

Call/fold should be the question - not really call/raise IMO
