What the heck is wrong with me (PP $5/$10 - KK)?
 

Sometimes I make plays that leave me completely dumbfounded over my line. What the heck am I thinking on the river? Being afraid of AA and 77 is seeing monsters under the bed, right?

Well in this case it seems like theres a pretty good chance a monster is out there. I still 3bet because I dont think 77 is at all likely and you only have 25 hands with this guy. If he caps I definately feel a little sick.

If you don't feel comfortable bet/3-betting this river then you should CR the river and call a 3-bet. In fact, I think that is the correct play here because AK might just call your river lead but will certainly bet if you check.

He capped the turn is he betting the river. C/R the river.

Thanks for the replies guys! Perhaps my river line wasn't too bad after all. Maybe I was results oriented (again), because UTG had Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I really like the check/raise/call line suggested.

It seems like he could easily have AK and play it this way. To a 50% VPIP player, I think aces &amp; kings looks pretty much like the nuts, especially if he thinks you've been running over him.
