25/50 vs El D

We dont have too much of a history, He's caught me on a bluff or two and I've caught him on a bluff or two, however in general (especially in multi-way pots) I think we both play (and expect the other to play) fairly standard most of the time.

seems pretty unlikley that he checked a set on the turn on this board.

I'd call this one.

edited cuz i am a moron.

Re: 25/50 vs El D

This is made somewhat tricky by the fact that opponent is in the big blind, meaning of course his hand range preflop is 100%.

I would want to call this if I could put him on a five. If the flop was 7s2s5x I would probably call this; however I do not see him leading into this field with just middle pair.

Why did he check the turn? This is (in my opinion) central to the river action (which is fold or call in my opinion). If he checked the turn cause he picked up open-ended to go with his pair and didn't want to be raised off it then this is a call.

It is tough to see a set or two pair checking the turn given the nature of the board. I think that (and the hidden nature of your hand) pushes this to a call.

Regardless, I think the key to analyzing this hand is "why did he check the turn?".

i put in my first post that i'd raise, but realized when i read it again that a raise is not in order here.

he wont be paying off with a lone 5, and he could definitely check a small 2 pair on the turn.

Not that I neccessarily disagree with you, but unless he is leading a 5 into this field (I don't think so but perhaps this is a mistaken impression on my part?), a 'small two pair' is 52 exactly.

damn. what a bad river card. that sux. looks like this is an easy call considering if you go all in he's only gonna call you with his full house.

Were you thinking of folding or raising? Just wondering where the confusion is. Unless you guys have a history of ramming each other for huge bets on the river, raising will cost you money in the long run.

And I ain't folding. Not the way you played that hand. If he's got the boat so be it. And he should have the boat a fair amount of the time, but not 2/3.
