Im doing alot of reading on limit ... and it talks alot about protecting your hands and stuff like that ... but if people are always getting like 6 or 7-1 on there money ... they are always getting the odds for most of there draws ... am i wrong ... i dont know it just seems like its not profitable ... im playing party poker 2-4 and it seems like one big mess anyone have any sucess reading small stakes books and then playing ...

The Party 2/4 game is insane. Play at your own risk!

I'd like to get it on your tables if I could.

At Party 2/4 you aren't really protecting your hand, but you are putting bets in when you are favourite, since your pot equity makes it +EV.

Yup it is tough to protect int hat loose of a game (the Party 2-4) but as another response said, you're also raising foer equity with the best hand. Also, you can't worry much about reducing other players' pot odds because they'd draw with incorrect odds anyway. Don't forget, that's where you make your money. Just read SSHE (read it again if you already have) and stick it out. That game is EXTREMELY profitable if you play anything resembling a tight aggressive style. Sure you'll get syucked out on, but you'll win huge pots with your big hands.

Good luck,
Matt
