Hustler Casino Regulars-L.A. ???

I've been playing @ the Hustler weekly for about two years now...it's my fav room in Los Angeles.

Just wondering if anyone else 2+2ers play there often as well?

Often, no , but its my fav room in LA too, just too far to drive, I dont play much live anyway and I usually get sucked in by some of the closer places that are bigger.

actually the Hustler is one of the few casinos in LA that i never go to. I heard that they're not as cool with underaged gambling as many of the others are. I play regularly in Commerce, Bike and Hollywood park.

Surf -- I used to play there 2-3x a week when I was at 6/12 (this would have been spring-summer of this year), but now I go at most once a week, maybe once every two weeks. I prefer 9/18 and 8/16 with occasional shots at 20/40. Hustler just has that one table of 15/30, and sometimes the game is great and sometimes it's tight as a rock.

It's a great cardroom, probably the nicest one in L.A., but the action just isn't as good as Bike/Commerce. Nevertheless, depending on what limits you play, it's possible we've been at the same table.

If I get my rear end whooped at the $9-18 at Commerce, I usually play my next session at a $4-8 table at Hustler. My problem is that if I take a 3 rack loss at the $9-18 and then go back and play the next night and take a few bad beats, I will tilt horribly. So I drop down in limits at Hustler...a quieter and easier to deal with environment then Commerce...order some beers from the cutie cocktail waitresses, and concentrate more on enjoying myself than clobbering the other players. By the next weekend, I am in a totally relaxed state of mind and ready to pounce on the $9-18 guppies at Commerce.

I have never been, but since so many people are suggesting it, I will check it out. Is it really that nice?

I always go to HPC cause it's right down the street from my house. All the others are a little drive, and L.A. traffic is horrible. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet one day and head down to Hustler.

Well no, it's not gorgeous or anything. But it's cleaner, newer, and with better chips/chairs/felt than Commerce. It's WAY better than HP, which is such a nasty dungeon I am surprised you can stand it. Just pop down to the 105 east, take the 110 south 3 exits, and you're at Hustler. Definitely worth the drive.

I like the plasma TV's hanging around the walls.. it's a nice touch and a lot easier to play and catch a game than those tiny ones hanging at the Commerce. But yeah I have ended up at an extremely tight table there now and then..

I use to play there three times a week(before I learned to trust online poker). There one blind structure(do they still have that) really helps if you are a tight player and can't handle the cap-fest going on at other casinos. I usually played after pay day, and didn't know the concept of a bankroll or moneymanagement. I just stopped going after a few bad sessions. I'm now rebuilding my(first real) bankroll on the net. When I have enough to survive theire yellow chip games i'll be back. Plus I think I have enough points on my Player's card for a sandwich or sushi.
