For All Those Considering ADHOC -- ADHOC Day!
 

jason_t and I were discussing this on AIM the other day, and since a large number of people seem to be once again interested in doing ADHOC within the next few weeks, better post this now so they can perhaps plan to participate on...

ADHOC "DAY" -- June 3 - 5

Pretty simple concept. In a 48 hour period starting Friday June 3 @ 9 PM EST going until Sunday June 5 @ 9 PM EST, we try to get as many 2+2ers as possible to do an ADHOC. That leaves you some flexibility in case you have commitments on Friday evening or Saturday evening, but still should result in a lot of ADHOCing 2+2ers to share in misery!

I think jason's planning on 6-tabling for this. I'm planning to 8-table a mix of limits. And even better, we can have an ADHOC 2+2 table!

So enough rah-rah, who's in?

That sounds both ridiculous and awesome. If I can find a stable internet connection for 24 hrs straight (one that doesn't involve sitting in my g/f's living room on her wireless) then I'm in.

I will be attempting ADHOC: Chrome (5 tables, 2/4 at first working down to .5/1 when I can't see straight) tomorrow afternoon starting around 1:00. I know planning this thing ahead of time breaks the time honored tradition of doing it on a whim, but it was the only way I could work this in without screwing up the rest of my week.

I will start a thread when the time comes.

EDIT: I will be partaking in the ADHOOIC. My goal is to go from .5/1 to 30/60 in 24 hours. The nit will hold me to my word.

It's a typical ADHOC day, using OIC standards to select your tables. As he moves up 50BB or down 25BB he moves between limits. Getting to 30/60 would mean:

+$50 .05/1
+$100 1/2
+$200 2/4
+$300 3/6
+$500 5/10
+$1000 10/20
+$1500 15/30

For a total of +$3650.

That seems relatively absurd, but definitely interesting. I don't run g00t enough to try and pull it off though.
