I am learning lots of really irritating moves from the WSOP wannabes

Dateline Caesar's IN about 3 AM.

WSOP wannabe, sunglasses, bad attitude and his play is even worse.

He berates players every hand he loses, regardless if the opponent's play was good or bad and everytime He was going to fold, He would cut out enough chips for a raise, stack them around a few times and then fold.

He chews out the old guy next to me for catching a straight on the river, then immediately on the next hand cracks my aces with J4o.

He was driving me crazy but I hated to see him leave because I felt I was a favorite to get a bunch of his chips. I had just been moved to the table after the $10-20 Omaha game broke. I only played against him a few minutes but I really learned a lot of what not to do.

These are the kind of players I enjoy playing with from a EV standpoint. Besides the ranting and raving and Helmuth style of play they are easy money. Its just pisses me off when they keep hitting with their rags. Eventually the tables will turn and their money will be all yours!

Last night I realized that its not only the young kids with sunglasses and hooded sweatshirts who play like they're on the WSOP. There were two middle aged guys who stared each other down for at least 3 minutes each at various times one hand. And this is at 3/6. I actually muttered : "My god, its not like its a big deal." Needless to say I left up 33 big bets up

When did you start playing Omaha Steam?

I've found that, usually, jerks tend to piss off more than just me and a subtle hint to the dealer, in most cases, gets a gentle suggestion delivered in the direction of the jerk.

If the dealer can't/won't help, maybe a word in the floor's ear?

It is a recent mental abberation. I got really interested in it while we were out west. Early Saturday Morning the only game at Cliff Castle Casino Camp Verde AZ near Sedona)is 4-8 Omaha Hi/low split and I played two hands while waiting for them to open a holdem game. I won one of the two and that was enough to get me interested.

I have been playing $.50-1 Omaha on Party and the live 10-20 game at Caesar's IN appears to be even softer.

Wow Steam. Sure doesn't take much to hook you in!

If you want to stay with the game then maybe consider getting a book on Omaha.
I have heard that the game can be VERY +EV for the knowledgeable player (which I am not...but might get interested one day).

I am a bookaholic. I own or have ordered everything available that is supposed to be good. No Ken Warren or Mc avoy/Cloutier etc.

Ray Zee's book rocks. There aren't very many good books available but I am soaking up all the info I can find.

I think Omaha is going to be my brand new favorite game. I don't have a good understanding of the game, yet, but I believe many of the things that really frustrate me about holdem have a lesser affect (effect?) in Omaha. I would have to find the place that I read it before I could elaborate.
