Preventing the float attempt...10/20 A4o in the CO

Hey guys,

title pretty much says it all...I don't feel comfortable folding to a turn raise from a villain, so I decide to get to showdown because I don't think he checks behind any decent draw here. comments on all streets appreciated

i like and i often take this line against laggier opponents. esp against the common "always bets when checked to" fools.

My first reaction is its a good line, because kings will bet here almost always, as well hands your behind. Pocket pairs will probably be bet by agro players too 50% of the time.

Giving a free card to a fd sucks though.

if you don't think he'll check behind a decent draw then isn't it an easy c/r on the turn?

Do you think the typical 10/20 player here would raise the flop with a flush draw? I bet they would. I have also seen people wait unitl the turn to then semi-bluff raise their flush draw - I doubt they're taking the free card either.

yeah I figured a flush draw would go for the bluff often...whenever I miss they never check behind so why would they now?

Thats another thing I was thinking. Suppose it goes check/bet like it did here, then the river is a spade. Are we still betting out?

with a better kicker maybe but I think some aces are definitely in his range, and does he pay it off with 99-55 or a K? yes probably with a K I suppose. it definitely charges a draw though.

so in the end, I'm not sure. more discussion on this! RAWAAARRR ME HAVE GOOD HAND ME RAISE!!!

i play laggy but i think folding pf would be best. If a aggressive button enters this pot you will have a hard time knowing if your ahead or behind and will end up letting him outplay you.

As for the turn. I dont like c/c. I think c/r or bet/call is best. c/c and than leading the river just looks like a scared hand to me if im villian and im raising a lot of rivers with air especially against a 2+2 type who will fold to river raises.
