Interesting enough, there was a thread the other day lamenting how much tighter the lower limits on party (IIRC it was 2/4 limit hold'em) had become. I think someone noticed a VPIP drop from around 48% 18 months ago to 33% this past month! Many of us have also noticed this trend. Possible reasoning: The massive flocking of TaGs to rake-back skins. They were able to flood the tables. As the fish shrank as a proportion of players at a table, their disadvantage grew bigger. With other fish, the chances of having a good night and winning a little bit is higher. As the table tightens up, the fish is caught quicker and busts sooner. There are less fish to keep his lack of skill from overcoming the luck of the cards.

The games might have been dying a slow death. Perhaps, this is the day that saved online poker.

BTW-I don't agree with this, but I'm drinking tonight while the dust settles and becoming a happy drunk at the moment.
