This commentary is almost a carbon copy of the commentary from the last time. Bart, ask different questions and bring up different topics.

I have a question for Mr. Powers...

What is the best advice you can give to a young poker player who is deeply considering turning pro?

Thanks.

Ellix, I thought it was pretty funny what you did to Jim McManus at the WSOP. What do you think of what he said about you disrespecting the game? Also, have you ever read his book?

Ellix reminds me of the Ric Flair-like heels who would cheat their asses off, then try to get the other guy DQed by enticing him to use a chair or make it look like his opponent cheated so he could win.

Uh oh, Friar Tuch makes his first live appearance on L@TB, hope Pimpmack doesn't run him over.

McManus wasn't that out of line. He said Ellix was being extremely rude and saying very crappy things to the other players. It's in the CP article on Powers.

Ellix,

What is the most unusual experience you've had at a poker table, either as a player or a dealer?

And Tuchman looks nothing like I thought he would. Good to see he dresses up for these things.

Either Tuch played the hand blind or he's in there to give action and wake these people up.

Bill Ivey is a 17 year old kid, heading to college and playing poker in his spare time. He frequently calls pot bets when we play HU with less than bottom pair.. sometimes even JACK HIGH.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (5/4)

Hello everyone,

I hoped everyone enjoyed tonight's show with guest commentator Elix Powers. I'm not going to get into any hand analysis tonight. I wanted to spend most of this post talking a little bit about Mr Powers.
Like him or dislike him, Elix is a real character. He has been nothing but a gentleman to me and I think that people have to realize that most of his negative antics relate to trying to throw other players off of their poker game. I also think that their is real value in what he is trying to accomplish with his school, poker-academy.net . Who else knows more about the ups and downs of the poker world than a man that has been homeless for several years and has changed his life around by finding god? If anyone ever runs in to Elix I suggest taking the time to introduce yourself and talking a little poker with him.

If people are interested in contact Elix for speaking or promotional work you can contact his agent Scott, at scott@glasuregroup.com .

Please join us again tomorrow night at 9PM PT for our spread buy in 300-500 NL game.
