ever is one over those words that gets thrown around a lot. as far as incubus albums go, S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and fungus amoungus have the least recognition. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. being better of the two then it is probly the most underrated incubus albumn.

i'd have to say that my fav album would have to be make yourself. can't really explain y, maybe it is because it was my first incubus album. but all of them r damn good and very much their own albumn.

its pretty good considering they were 16 at the time. a little weed-oriented then necesary. but as i said, they were 16 at the time. the incubus sound (which changes somewhat for basically every albumn) isn't really established yet. more of them taking what they like from other bands and mushing it together. not really taking it and making it their own.

I agree Make Yourself is best. I love Incubus, they're one of my favorite bands. However I like Science right behind Make Yourself -- Morning View was good as well, Crow left of murder was junk.

a crow, while not being the best they have produced does not mean it was junk.

it did become pretty clear to me after i saw them last yr that their r generally 3 types of fans.
-fans that think mourning view was a turn in the wrong direction and they have not yet returned to the right path
-fans that don't know S.C.I.E.N.C.E. exists
-and (the one i am) fans that like everything they have ever done and look for the stuff that is not widely known

as anyone else heard The Odessey? it's a 4-part epic featured on the halo 2 soundtrack.

SCIENCE has some awesome songs on it.

Then at some point they went and sold out and became just another shitty pop rock band and I stopped paying any attention to them.

I don't think that Incubus will establish a sound either. You look at all their CDs, from Fungus to ACLOTM, they are incredibly different. Each CD is its own mood. With that said, SCIENCE is their best cd, followed very closely by Make Yourself. Now if you want to do yourself a favor, go find Purple Kool-Aid. For being a bad quality demo, it is an incredible early Incubus song.

are you gonna tell us linkin park is capable of having a 'best album'?

it seems to me that incubus decided to lift the constructive elements of faith no more and mr bungle, add a dj, and head mainstream with it. i think mainstream is cool, it's just the cloning that bugs me. i wouldn't file it as an "influence". i literally don't think incubus could have come to exist without mike patton.
