Foxwoods Main Event Hand- Your Move ?

ACUTAL HAND FROM FOXWOODS MAIN EVENT

Ok here's the deal..

You are sitting in 5th place, about 50 players left in a very TOP HEAVY PAYOUT STRUCTURE-- and have T$200,000- chip leader is Bill Gazes with T$600,000

Blinds at T$ 1500 3000 with T$ 500 Ante.

UTG with T$60,000 Makes it T$10,000 to go

A Player that your positive to hold either QQ or AK, goes all in for T$90,000. You positive, because your friend has played with this player online extensively and gives you information on how he will be playing, and based on this prior information your sure he is either holding AK or QQ.

Your sitting on the Button with AK.

Your move ??

(I had 20% of my friend) the player on the button.. I will post results after some discussion...

Re: Foxwoods Main Event Hand- Right or Wrong

The original bettor led out with 1/6 of his/her stack, so he/she SHOULD be pushing/calling. I think I fold AK here to stay in the top 10 in chips.

Fold. You are a coin-flip at best... and possibly way behind.

instantly call and hope your opponents both have QQ

Re: Foxwoods Main Event Hand- Right or Wrong

yeah i would think not losing a huge chunk of chips at this point is more important.

I don't often play MTTs... but...

Not that it really matters, but how is he holding AK or QQ and never AA or KK? He flat calls with those?

Define "top heavy".

I'd also like a read on UTG.

Essentially we're risking half our stack for what's likely a coinflip, or slightly worse if UTG holds an A or a K. Seems like a fold.

i saw 20th place got like 20K which is pretty crazy for a 750 person tourney
basically you had to make top 15 for any serious money relative to the buy in.

Re: Foxwoods Main Event Hand- Your Move ?

He wants action with AA and KK, and will re-raise but not go all in with AA and KK.

NO READ on UTG.

Re: Foxwoods Main Event Hand- Your Move ?

Muck in an instant. As an earlier poster said, if you KNOW he has QQ, then you're probably less than a coin flip b/c you have to assume that UTG has at least one A or K.

A raise UTG and a push? Muck.
