doing the hip motion
five handed. villian in this hand is a solid, aggressive tag with 30/20/2.5 stats. his attempt to steal is around 35%. folded to villian in the CO. Villian raises. button drops, small blind drops, i defend with 78 of spades. flop is 6 9 Q, the nine and the queen being diamonds. i check, villian bets, i checkraise he calls. turn is an offsuit 3. i bet villian calls. river is the 4 of diamonds. i check, villian bets, i raise. thoughts?

Re: doing the hip motion
oooh that river c/r is tricksy. You have no SD value, so wtf, i mean if you can't take money off a tag with a c/r bluff who the hell can you.
A more useful stat would have been folds to river bet. |
Re: doing the hip motion
pretty interesting

Re: doing the hip motion
I think against this sort of player, this will be slightly +EV in the long run. I like it.

Re: doing the hip motion
This is a good play, I like it.
Might break down your image, but you can use that to your advantage. I think this works a lot of the time though. very nice. |
Re: doing the hip motion
A c/r bluff in this pot has to work quite often, getting 3.5:1 or so on it. I'm undecided.

Re: doing the hip motion
thanks for the responses guys. this hand didn't really happen, but i think i want to work some more bluff raises againt tags into my game. as far as this hand goes, i think its probably either neutral or slightly -ev, but i think it would do great things for your table image if you end up having to show down.
