I wouldn't say "recently" but when I did about 6-7 weeks ago they certainly did.

They asked me which account I wanted them to close. Nothing more.

When I made deposit into the newly opened account, they let the deposit go though, then they froze both accounts.

I called them and they asked which account I wanted to close and that was that.

I opened a second account today. They called me as soon as i made my first deposit and asked which if the 2 accounts i wanted to use. The old one was then shut down with immediate effect. Nothing of any real consequence was asked of me.

Nope, I moved from MA to CO, emailed them before I left to close my old account. Then when I got here I opened a new account, used Firepay instead of Neteller and I was all set. Of course, they just sent me an email saying my points in my old account were going to expire, so I don't know if its really closed, but they certainly haven't called me about anything.
