Standard times to lay down QQ preflop.

NL50 Pokerroom. Barring reads, is this one of those times?

Seat 1: SolTiger ($48.20 in chips)
Seat 2: lemansdaniel ($51.05 in chips)
Seat 3: ScubasAces ($59.70 in chips)
Seat 4: piso ($70.10 in chips)
Seat 5: MTAZ ($61.10 in chips)
Seat 7: AnnoyingPeon ($50 in chips)
Seat 9: HERO [QD,QS] ($68.95 in chips)
Seat 10: ch1pmaster ($51.10 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
HERO posts blind ($0.25), ch1pmaster posts blind ($0.50).

PRE-FLOP
SolTiger folds, lemansdaniel calls $0.50, ScubasAces bets $1, piso folds, MTAZ folds, AnnoyingPeon folds, HERO bets $6, ch1pmaster folds, lemansdaniel folds, ScubasAces bets $15, HERO folds?

Also, should I be raising more or less here? I'm first to act after the flop.

Usually heads up is not a good time to muck QQ. This action could be AK as much as it could be KK, AA.

Times you muck QQ are when there is lots of action before you get chance to act. PFR, re-raise and perhaps a re-re-raiser...

This EP min-raise and then re-raise almost always signals a huge hand. From what I've seen, I dont think he can have anything but AA then KK then rarley AK. Still, given the play at the $50 games, its really hard to get away from the hand.

yeah, if his likely range is AK, KK and AA, then I don't like wading any further into this swamp with QQ. Where am I on a rag-flop?

So you're content with calling the raise OOP with at best a coinflip? If the flop comes with an an A or K (no Q) what's your action? If it comes all unders? A call preflop is a decision to play for your stack. Flop has a $30 pot. If you bet 20 on a ragged board and get put all in you have to call. it's 15 back to in a 85 pot.

At best we're risking $29 to win the $21 dead (figuring worse hands will fold unimproved to a 20 flop bet, your call is 9, and contiuation bet is 20), and stacks are too shallow to call for set value.

OT: converter works with pokerroom hands. Go to hand history on the website (not on your hard drive), then copy and paste that format into the converter.

I would fold. The only flop I would like is if I hit a Q and there is no A or K on the board. Seems like you can loose alot on this hand and wont win much if you are ahead...
