room criteria

i play pokerroom. on the lobby page they have stats for each room before you enter such as %players per flop, pot size, and hands per hour. what do you look for before sitting down at a table?

Re: room criteria

Anything above 10SB in the pots is fine in my book. %SF is not listed in most of the places I play, so I never pay it much attention.

Comparing average pot size to # of players to flop will often give you a general idea of how the game is. If pots are really big but not that many players to the flop on average, it is an aggressive game, possibly due to a lag/maniac. If the pots are small but lots of players are seeing the flop, the game is probably loose/passive.

I usually look for at least one of these numbers to stand out.

However, don't put too much emphasis on it. Games change rapidly. Trust your reads while at the table as to whether the game will be profitable to continue playing in.
