Re-raise pre-flop is a must.

why? what turn are u not pushing?

Re: AA I hate my line here.

no i am pushing any turn.

also, what's the case for a reraise preflop-this guys aggressive enough that i don't have to be eager to get all my chips in now, he'll do that for me. Plus i have a strong hand, don't want to spook him away from his usual play.

With the limpers in, I think you have to reraise preflop. Your flat call will encourage hitchhikers and the EP limpers will get an attractive price to call with the majority of hands they would limp in that position with.

Reads on opponents' tendencies towards slowplaying and how they play draws would be helpful in determining the best play on the flop....

i know i SHOULD reraise, but i didn't b/c of his aggression- i think it could have gone either way. Those after me to act (except for loose-passive man) would reraise with any real hand, not just call down.

I dunno, and i can't really justify it but i probably should've raised.

The case for reraising is that you get to play the hyperaggressive guy heads up. The reraise is to get the other hitchhikers out, not to cause any specific reaction from the preflop raiser. If he's that easily spooked, you ought to be reraising a wide range of hands as you'll pick up a lot of dead money when he gets scared.
