Hand from Stud-8 tourney.

Andy B is the villain in Seat 5. I suppose calling his completion was incorrect but I get the impression Andy is super aggressive and he was just trying to have his way by stealing the antes. I also figured he thinks I'm a bit of a jelly bean so by calling his completion he would worry and if I caught a scare card at 4th I might take the pot. It worked.

Since it was folded to Andy and with only a 7, Q, and the BI left, I'd say it's reasonable to put him on a semi-steal. 4th street worked out perfect for you by catching another low and him a brick enabling you to easily bet him off his hand. But I'm not sure if the risk/reward ratio is worth defending your BI here considering the more likely scenarios that would arise on 4th requiring you to fold your hand.

I suppose it comes down to how aggressively you want to play. Myself, I try to avoid potentially tricky situations--especially in a tournament. Just my opinion.

Mmmmmm. Jelly beans.

Your third-street hand is crap. It is true that I tend to throw my weight around at these things, but I do need a little something to raise here, especially this early in the tournament. In any case, you really just don't have enough to call on third street, no matter how loose the raiser is.

When I hand you the pot on fourth street, though, take it.
