Loss Cap

I was wondering what the general consensus is about having a loss cap in your games.

In the PLO section of SS2, Lyle Berman says he likes a cap bc it prevents people from winning a lot then leaving and it makes more hands playable and the game less volatile.

The "big game" has a $100K cap in their $1K-$2K blind NL games for a cap of 50 big blinds. I was wondering for the people that do use caps, what is the amount of big blinds you cap it at.

Re: Loss Cap

Rarely will you find a home game where the stakes are high enough to warrant a cap.

I have never heard of a cap in anything but the biggest NL and PL games.

Why do you ask?

Im going to try to set up a game in my dorm. No matter what the stakes though, a cap can affect play since it affects the odds.
