I don't disagree with your overall point, but Edge may not be the best analogy considering the Colts' schedule this year. Lots of bad teams in the first half.

MVP should go like this:

1. Peyton Manning
2. Shaun A
3. LJ
4. Carson Palmer

You see the same thing happening with Priest and if things continue, it's only time before you see the same from Alexander.

[/ QUOTE ]watch some more Seahawks games, and you will see there is a difference between Shaun and some of these other guys. He is much more of a finesse back, and he utilizes his blockers much more than some of these other guys. As of right now, Shaun looks more like an Emmit type of player than a Priest type of player.

Week 2 @ JAX: 4.7 YPC
Week 14 vs JAX: 3.1 YPC

Week 4 @ TEN: 4.3 YPC
Week 13 vs TEN 3.8 YPC

Week 7 @ HOU: 6.6 YPC
Week 10 vs HOU: 4.7 YPC

He's run over good run defenses before (Week 2 JAX, Week 12 PIT). He's just totally tanked since the PIT game, and he even had 3.7 ypc against CIN, one of the worst run defenses in the league.

That is true, but he's still getting hit a lot. 351 rushing attempts already this year and you know he's gonna get the rock in the last game to break the TD record. 353 total last year. 2003 he had 326 total but also had double the receptions which also brings him to around the same amount of touches. After that, 295 & 309 rushes per year.

I know he's your star, but it's only time before those hits catchup to him, and let's not forget that Shaun will be 29 next year. Seattle needs a backup to take some of the load off of Shaun, same with LDT and the same with LJJ (310 rushes and Preist started the season? Do you want to kill this guy already?!?!).

Actually, I screw up that post. Week 2 was in Indy, Week 14 was in Jacksonville. Given that I don't think there's any reason to think he is.

Ok, that would be a strange development if it were the case.
