seems perfectly standard to me.. maybe raise more preflop.

I don't like it. If he's solid he will probably drop all pairs here, while if you keep betting he will probably have a hard time releasing at least the higher ones.

Exactly. You let him get a way cheap when you have him, and hand your stack with a ribbon on it when you're crushed.

Just bet the turn and play it from there.
