Stars $6.50 Turbo: Q9 in the BB facing a push from the button

Here's the hand...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) converter

UTG (t6300)
Button (t1425)
SB (t4530)
Hero (t1245)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to t1400</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero...

The button has pushed all-in when either the SB or on the button at least 5 or 6 times prior to this, so I assumed he is capable of pushing with any two here. Is this a spot for me to make a stand and call? I'm getting 1.28:1 odds here and I used PokerStove to calculate my equity against his push with my hand.

Here are the PokerStove results:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 55.3604 % 53.86% 01.50% { Qh9s }
Hand 2: 44.6396 % 43.14% 01.50% { random }

I figured he could be pushing with any two here, so therefore I assumed his range is "random".

Only needing ~44% for this call (determined from pot odds 1.28:1) to be correct (if his range is random) (I'm assuming this math is correct from PokerStove, someone please point out any flaws...) I called getting 55% (output from PokerStove)...

Afer the tournament, I assesed a more narrow range into PokerStove...

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 45.5585 % 43.67% 01.89% { Qh9s }
Hand 2: 54.4415 % 52.56% 01.89% { 22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q5s+, J7s+, T7s+, 97s+, A2o+, K2o+, Q5o+, J7o+, T7o+, 97o+ }.

With the same pot odds of needing ~44%, having 45.5% (I'm assuming) would still make this call correct (more borderline obviosuly).

I made the call, and am just posting to see if I am doing all of this math correctly and if I am corectly apllying it to real situations.

Any responses are greatly apprectiated!

While he would be correct in pushing with any two here most of the time, I don't usually give that much credit to opponents at the low buyins.

Barring any reads to the contrary (such as he's been pushing every-other hand), I would be more likely to assume he's pushing at worse with two paint cards, a small A, or a medium K.

I would fold.
