where to find out what graphics card I have?

I have windows XP and couldnt find this info.

And if it will work w/ my new 2001 fp thats in the mail?

I have an older Gateway laptop. Fairly small originaly used for digital radiography so I think it has a decent card. It Does have the extra monitor plug on the bacK (not dvi i thik or whatever) and it does have the option of adding an addional monitor in the settings.

right-click on the desktop and go to properties. It should be under the settings tab. Sometimes it isn't though; in that case, click on advanced and go to the Adapter Tab. Whether your monitor would work with the video card, I don't know, but I'm sure you can find out easily enough now that you know what video card you have.

I would say that the resolution supported is usually constrained by the monitor you are using. Since you have one of those integrated chipsets, your computer may be slow as hell at that resolution though. The monitor is already in the mail right? Try it out when you get it, and don't worry too much until you do.
