NYC poker

Anyone play regularly at any card rooms in nyc? I've heard of a couple....even picked up a few business cards, but a bit reluctant to see how they are. Any opinions? BTW why are they so hard to find?

Because they are illegal? *NM*

I can't answer your question, but if you or anyone else know where one could play low-limit hold'em in NYC, I'd be very grateful for the info. (Don't really want to make the trip AC.0

If you can help, please advise lizlogan@mail.com.

Thanks.

Go to pokerpages.com and hen to classifieds. Then go to "seeking games". I believe some private NYC home games (low stakes, like 2-4 or 3-6) are on there. Good luck.

There certainly are poker rooms in NYC, and the games can be quite good. Why should be "reluctant to see how they are"? If you have the business cards there's no need to ask us for opinions; just go play at one and see.

I go to a very good club where they have holdem, omaha, and stud. And tournies. There are so many people playing there that every time I go I see new faces. Understandably, I can't post info about it here because it is totally illegal. But in the past, dealers have told me that the cops might close the club and write up the management but the players will just be sent away and even get their money from their chips back. They charge a small half hour fee instead of a rake, which seems to be better for the players.

Next time you play at the Taj ask people around you about playing in the city and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Sorry I can't post info for you here.
