Mac compatibilty

I received a Mac computer for graduating (did not have achoice in this) and was wondering if there is a way to play poker online with it? I hear virtual PC can help in a bleem-style way but i have also heard that it slows down a Mac tremdously. My mac is a powerbook with a 1.67 ghz processor, would Virtual PC still slow it down? Please help!

Depends what you're going to do in VirtualPC. I think you can safely run most online poker rooms' Windows downloadable clients from within VirtualPC, but multitabling might give you some problems. Just forget about running Pokertracker concurrently with a poker client, it's very disk intensive and that would slow you down considerably.

Oh yeah, be sure to update VirtualPC to the latest version from Microsoft's website.

Speaking of Mac OS, by far the best place to play for Mac users is Pokerroom.com. Very stable java (web) client. I play with the Java client all the time when I'm not running my Windows machine for Pokertracker stat tracking.
