I tried cutting him some slack by unbanning because I thought the initial post was just a newbie mistake. Clearly it's not working out and there is now an exile in place.

Lesson: Mercy sucks and I just need to go with my gut.

I don't think this post is that bad. True, he's trying too hard to contribute to make up for his first post, but I think he learned his lesson with the initial [censoring]. It doesn't really fit the criteria for what is ban-worthy, either.

To the OP...you should seriously consider creating a new account (or one just for OOT) and starting over. You've got the scarlet letter on you now, and people will henceforth go out of their way to point it out whenever you post. OOT is an interesting place, but once you've been ostracized, it's really hard to get back in its good graces.

The greatest invention of all time is clearly the threaded fastener / power screw, so I'm going to go with whenever that was invented.

Ok, trying to redeem myself.

What do you think is the most important turning point in human history and why?

Ediy:
Ok, too vague, I meant what has had the most dramatic effect on our world? Is it the Crusades (chrisitanity being dominant thus changing the course of history?)

Is it Founding of Rome (aka western civ.)

Something along these lines

I don't know but this thread HAS to be up there.
