NL is boring?

I play 3/6 and 5/10 LHE, and I recently bought and read Harrington....so all ready to destroy the game I logged on. I thought I would start low and played some 50 and 100 buy in holdem....and I found it boring. This was completely unexpected to me..... Im wondering if this was function of the small pots and bets, or do some people truly find nl more dull then limit? By the end my VPIP must have been getting near 40% from boredom.

Yeah, no-limit pretty much blows

I find limit boring personally, so I play no-limit. If you find no-limit boring, play limit. It's pretty simple.

There is nothing more boring than limit.

If you find No Limit boring, you're playing at tables with too small a buy-in. Find a table with larger blinds.

Play 6max NL

I don't even see a comparison. There's nothing quite so boring as playing multitable limit like a machine. Just one table of 6max nl adds more complexity and interest than 4 tables of limit.

Exactly.

I'm personally bored by no-limit. It just seems that you have to "create" more of the action in the game.

I like how in limit there is forced action due to the blind structures (of similarly staked games) and we're often faced with many marginal +EV situations.

To each their own though.

I find NL really interesting- theres no excitement like trapping someone for their whole stack rather than a few bets like in limit.
Dont get me wrong multitabling limit is probably where the moneys at but NL keeps me guessing and is more action based- you can pull off some ridiculous bluffs. =]

No matter the stake, there's nothing more fun than having your top set/PF AA/nut straight check-raised in NL...In limit, even against the dullest player, you'll only get a few bets.

You're wrong with this, you can make a ton of money playing NL nowadays.

yeah but in no limit the wpt douchebag that c/r you takes 37 mins per decision, meanwhile you are sitting there scratching your butt. In limit there is a flurry of chips being thrown in the pot, much faster and more fun.

nothing worse than folding for two hours in a row and watching every hand take seven minutes.
