euro 5-10, hero utg+2 raises, folded to mp+3 who 3bets. HU to flop. Flop Jd 8s 3c, hero bets, mp+3 raises.
Should hero 3bet or call?

three bet, if turn raised or flop is capped just fold.

Do I really want to put in 1.5bb more and fold, when I can get to a showdown for 2bb?

Do you think your hand has showdown value against this opponent?...true, it is marginal but i think the only hands you're beating are TT, 99, maybe 88 and maybe AKs or AQs with the backdoor flush draw.
