Do you feel bad when you don\'t work your full 8 hours?

Why or why not?

Do I? Yes.
Why? Not sure... on the fence about this one. I'll elaborate later if I feel special when people reply to my post.

* People who have rewarding jobs they actually like, this thread isn't for you. Go away.

** Although... most people will read this thread while they're at work... OK - nevermind... you can all participate.

Edit: I might not have been clear enough originally... what I meant is: "You work a 9 to 5 (or equivalent) job and don't work for the entire period. A percentage, small or large, of your work day is you screwing around and/or doing non-work related things. Do you feel bad about it? Why or why not" There we go.

I do feel a little bit bad, but then I remember the days that I work until 11pm and then it's okay. Today's going to be an easy day and I'll probably cut out early, so I need to start preparing my story.

Hell no.
I like getting in, getting my crap done, and leaving.
I actually love my job, but it's still work. And not-working is better than working anytime.

Work 8 hours as in be present for 8 hours, or actually do 8 hours of work?

I do like my job, but I just space out a lot by nature. I always stay here for at least 8 hours, but I usually space out for at least 4.

I don't feel bad. My billed rate to clients is so ridiculous that even if I put in two billed hours each day my company would make plenty off of me. When I'm not billing I'm basically just taking up space at work so I don't feel bad about cutting out early, taking long lunches etc.

What is this 8 hours of work of which you speak?

That's not what I mean though. I mean getting in, getting your crap done, and staying till the end of the day... or getting in, screwing around, getting some crap done, screwing around some more, finishing your crap and then screwing around the rest of the day.

Or worse, getting in, screwing around, doing half your crap, screwing around some more and finishing the crap the next day.

this needs to be a poll. you will find you are in the minority.

i don't feel bad, i'm at work 9.5 hrs a day (paid lunch too ) for 3 days a week. 7.5 hrs of that get spent on 2+2

Dang. Can't add a poll after thread started, and making a new thread will make this thread die and also make me look silly.

Neither of which are acceptable.

Any polltards want to volunteer?

yes I do feel bad. I feel very bad and your bringing this up right now while I'm perusing 2+2 is making me feel even more guilty. I may need to take a few days off to ponder why I suck so much.
