27s...second guessing.

Villain is famously known Multitabler and uber tight early and utter pushbot late. On loose setting, this call is +.8 but i think that might be too conservative. What do you guys do here? absent this stark read I never make this call.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com

MP (t3940)
CO (t980)
Button (t4065)
SB (t2005)
Hero (t1305)
UTG (t1205)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

He is raising UTG, this has nothing (OK, little) to do with pushbotting.

What adanthar said. Easy call if he were SB. Possible call from button or even CO, but A9 should be a clear dog to his range from UTG.

I have played about 100 games with her and I know she gets frisky when she is about to lose her FE...I have her on a very wide range here (relative to a standard push from UTG)

But FWIW, I think you guys are probably right and the fact is, it was *I* who was feeling frisky.

Thx for the feedback.

If you know in particular this player has a very wide range in this spot, it's different.

I haven't played near 100 against any one opponent and I can see how you can get some very specific reads after a while. It's very cool.

If that's me UTG your A9 is a 70/30 dog at best.

you need to respect postion. I feel that a rasie like that has your offsuited A,9 beat and you need to lay it down.

with that stack? about to be 700 at a stars tourney? you should open that up a bit...

she had 66, and I actually thought it couldve been much worse a hand because ive seen her raise push here...but anyway, thats why I posted it. I would normally autofold this.

This was 90% read based which is why I said I normally dont call here, and why I posted it. Was wondering if anyone adjusts THIS much based on so much prior info/data.

I think it's close. I'd call with AJ, prolly AT, and with A9 like you said it is very read dependent. If the blinds are going up next hand I'm calling.
