Donkbet, hearts, etc.
5/10 short on PP
I'm in UTG+1. In UTG is a favorite LAG of mine. 56/26/2. Important trend, however, is in his street by street AFs. Flop- 1.6, Turn- 2.2, River- 4.2. To me, this indicates that he loves to bluff and slowplay. This numerical trend is furthermore supported by observation of him bluffing A high into a 4 straight turn and bluff raising the river with an underpair (he has 6x board AJ68y). I have A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG limps, I raise, everyone else clears out, he calls. (5 and 2/5 SB). Flop is T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He checks, I bet. Turn is 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] He bets. At this point I call, planning on calling the river. Could raise here, should I have? My thinking was that there is definetly a chance that he could have hearts here. He could also be bluffing with air, or with a lone heart. Or he could be betting a 3 or a T or a J. Anything really. I think that he'll fold to a raise if he's behind, but he's 3-betting his flushes and sets. Perhaps 2 pair, not sure. River is 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] He bets and I call. Meh? |
Re: Donkbet, hearts, etc.
U gotta raise the turn imo. A lag will surely c/r a flush. Is he smart enough to go for the bet/3bet from a TAG? I doubt it.
This will be random crap most of the time, maybe a heart draw/str8 draw. |
Re: Donkbet, hearts, etc.
Yeah, given the read, I think this is a pretty easy raise.

Re: Donkbet, hearts, etc.
That's how I play it. Even Lags get hands. If he's aggressive enough to bluff the river with a missed draw why would you want to "charge him" for it? He'll bet the river regardless, and it's not like he's going to call a river bet with a missed draw. Let him keep bluffing.
